Get these creative juices flowing

Hey everyone! I'm back from my vacation. I had tons of fun, and I really wish I could go back. I'll tell you all about it when I get my wordpress back, because it's too much to do here...

Anyways, I'm trying to work on the re-vamp now, but I need to get my creative juices flowing first. I'm kinda rusty, I guess, since I haven't used photoshop in two weeks, or designed anything for that matter. I'm going to try to work on a new layout, because the other one I was thinking of didn't work out and I'm going to start making all the content. I hope I'll be able to get a lot done. I'll let you guys know how I'm doing.

Hopefully I get wordpress back soon. I'm off to return comments now!

Vacation Time

As I mentioned in my last blog, I ma going on a two week vactaion. This is the first time I've ever left or had a "break" from my site. I just though I'd blog once more before I leave.
Wordpress is still not workking, so I am still stuck with haloscan.

Like I said, I am planning to have a re-vamp when I return. Read the second paragraph of the previous blog for details. Please let me know what you would like to see here at onedestiny. It can be anything. Here are some things that I have planned, tell me what sounds good, what doesn't and let me know if there's anything else you want.
  • New Professional and Organized Layout
  • New Tutorials in Every Section
  • Revised and edited pages
  • New Resources In Every Existing Section
  • Contests
  • Articles
  • Interactive Things like Discussions on Issues, etc.
  • Expanded Portfolio

That's what I have so far, but I'm going to think of some more stuff. Your input would be appreciated.
I'm going to go now. I might be able to blog while I'm on my vacation, but that's probably unlikely. See you guys in two weeks!

Updates: 3 Wallpapers, 2 Sets of Smilies

Wow. Today, I was using this plug-in thing for wordpress, so that it would automatically upgrade it. I don't know what happened but something got messed up, so none of the pages that have to do with wordpress are working. This sucks, because I was planning to make a new layout and such. Anyways, I thought it was only the wordpress stuff on my dashboard, like writing posts and stuff. But then I noticed that the whole day, I hadn't been getting any comments. So I decided to test the commenting. Sure enough, it wasn't working either. That's why I have put up this blog post, with haloscan commenting so that you guys can comment. I've e-mailed Nicole, and hopefully she'll be able to help me.

Before wordpress got all messed up, I was planning to do a re-vamp sort of thing, but it would all be behind the scenes. I would start with a new wordpress theme. Unfotunately, due to whatever happened, I'm not able to test the new theme. I will try to make and code it though. I did spend some time making some wallpapers, and I was trying to make some brushes. Hopefully i will be able to get to this re-vamp. I am planning on re-doing all the pages, and tutorials. And adding a lot more of everything I have in my visitor content, tutorials, plus new things that you guys request. I would also be expanding my portfolio and possibly organizing it a bit better. I want the outcome to be a professional and improved OneDestiny. It might have to wait though, because this Saturday I am going on vacation, so I will not be able to update at all for two weeks. Actually, it will have to wait. Tomorrow I am going to have a sleepover with my two best friends before I leave. Then on Friday, I am busy packing and getting ready. I hope you all understand.

That's all for now. I really hate blogging without a blogging tool, like wordpress, cutenews or fanupdate. Haloscan really bothers me, but it will have to do for now, so that visitors can comment. Please check out the wallpapers I made. There are three new ones, plus an old one that got deleted. Tell me what you think! Thanks.

EDIT/ The world hates me. Seriously. I was transferring pictures from my camera onto a different SD card. I had to stop many times to delete stuff from the SD card because there was no more room. I kept checking to make sure I knew which pictures will already in the SD card and which pictures were left to put in. When I was done, I deleted the pictures from my camera. I looked at the total amount of pictures in the SD card and to my horror(yes, horror) I found that 100 of the pictures weren't there, and I had just deleted them. These pictures were cherished memories for me, because they were of a very special event. I feel so bad that they're all gone. Luckily I have some that I posted on facebook, so I might get them back, but they won't be good resolution. Also, I had developed some, so I'll have some of those. I can't believe that I make so many mistakes. Lately I can't seem to do anything right... /EDIT

GARGH.

My site was down for a few days, and when I see it back up, my new layout is gone, my blog post is gone, my comments are gone and so are my updates.. I don’t even know what happened, but it makes me so mad. I guess I’ll have to recode the layout.. and put up the updates again.. argh . Sorry, all the comments were deleted, so I can’t return them.. I’ll try to put the layout up as soon as possible.

Updates: 2 Wallpapers, 2 textures

My camping trip was fun and relaxing, although I could do without the annoying bugs. Those bugs seemed to like biting my face, so I now have a bunch of bug bites, that will hopefully go away.

At camp, I was reading a book called Blueprint but Charlotte Kerner. The book is a memoir of a woman named Siri Sellin, who was a clone(the book is fiction though). Her mother is a famous composer named Iris Sellin, who learns that she has multiple sclerosis. Afraid that she will die and become forgotten, her talents gone to waste, she asks a doctor to clone her, and thus Siri is born. This book got me thinking about the subject of cloning. I have read about it before, since I always read about strange subjects, or subjects that people don’t really know about. To my knowledge, human beings have not yet been cloned, but animals have. This is my question to you: Do you think cloning of human is right or wrong, and why? I know cloning of humans has not yet been done, but if it did happen would you support it is what I’m trying to get at.

I am tired of this layout, and I’ve been trying really hard to make a new one, but I have come up unsuccessful. It’s very difficult to create a layout without inspiration. I am trying to make a more complex layout since I now have photoshop, but I haven’t made anything useable. I’m going to keep trying, and hopefully I’ll have a new layout soon. I might just go simple again, but continue to experiment.
